We stayed for 4 nights in December around Christmas time. Only drawback was a (failed) attempt to create a Christmas atmosphere by way of a single CD with a mix of Latin American carols... Staff is helpful and very kind. Food is of mediocre quality. Rooms are good.
Bicycles are for free. Distance to the main entrance of the archeological park is 1 km.

Lovely small hotel, nice staff. 800m from the historical park. Good location. Green and very nice deco.
Try to get a room on the pound side and not on the road side. Even we do not have heared the traffic.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever seen - absolutely stunning grounds, fantastically friendly staff, wonderful pool and truly memorable Thai cuisine for dinner. Really extraordinary!

the old ruins were breath taking. make sure that you rent a audio tour device and don't bother with tour guides, it is completely sufficient (personal opinion)
booking was not giving options for 3 people, me and my parents, so when we got there, the hotel manager upgraded us to a family suit with 2 floors, that was a fantastic gesture by the hotel, most of places in thailand, we had to pay extra 500 to 1000 for extra bed.

Slightly shabby hotel with great staff

First a word about Sukhothai -- if you have been to Ankor Wat, you are going to be disappointed. And there is no other reason to be in Sukhothai. If you are looking for a pleasant break while travelling from Bangkok to Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai, then it is a lovely, peaceful park well worth a day's stop. And if you are stopping in Sukhothai, then this is probably the best place to stay... though my friends and I did not actually see any other hotel to compare it to. But it's obviously seen better days or needs a maintenance manager: the pool was dirty, the pool bar never opened, the deluxe room was only OK, the bathroom moldy, no mosquito net, whole place very "buggy", half the lights on path at night were out, the restaurant staff was nice but the food mediocre at best and breakfast was disappointing and hot coffee hard to come by. We did not find any good restaurants in the area and the driver the hotel got for us was overpriced and under-informative. The reception desk staff were very friendly and spoke English and tried to be helpful, but honestly, our only disappointing stay in Thailand, actually.
