The Shilla Seoul
Myeong-dong,Seoul - View on map
"We travelled in the countryside for several days before staying one night at the legendary The Shilla hotel in Seoul as a final night in Korea, a little treat for ourselves. It did not disappoint and we were pleasantly surprised with the views to Namsan and over the city with the sense of space and beauty. The rooms were elegantly understated but dripped of quality and great thoughtmanship with design and utility. The room was spacious and the window stood out as a piece of moving art with neat thick black borders enhancing the views. We enjoyed the luxurious bath, shower and clever toilet. What turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience, I hope will now mean several more experience in the near future. My tip is to go sightseeing around the markets, but check out the Shilla duty free first as you might want to make your actual purchases onsite. Also, depending on your room rate, access to the swimming pool may not be included (the Swimming pool is awesome throughout the year)"

"I have stayed different hotels in Seoul and this one was the best in terms of its location, very near to all the tourist attractions and good restaurants in the old town Seoul. It is also very clean. The room and the equipments are simple but efficient, so you have everything you need. I think I would stay again when I am back in Seoul. "

Seoul Loft Apartments / SLA
Jongro,Seoul - View on map
"We booked the SLA family apartment for me and my other two friends. As we are leisure travellers, we emailed the hotel to ask about the most convenient way to travel to the hotel as well as more detailed information about the attractions. Yuna, who replied our email was very helpful and provided very good information. We booked our limousine departure transfer too. All the staffs in SLA are very helpful and we regret not taking a photo with them. We would like to show our thanks to Dennis, the korean manager (who advise us on the best food to order for delivery), the young korean girl who attended to us since day one as well as the guy who did the night duty. They provide consistent excellent service throughout our 10 day stay. Highly recommend to all travellers because of its location and impeccable service. One downside will be the heater and the aircon cannot be switched off at the same time."

Nine Tree Premier Hotel Insadong

"Right between Jogyesa Temple and the artsy street of Insadong, you can start your adventure to Korea. At the time of the booking the hotel was still incomplete, but I expect it to become a more high-class hotel in the future."

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul
Gwanghwamun,Seoul - View on map
"Stay at Four seasons three nights. the location of the hotel is in the heart of Seoul and the center of old tradition & modern city. Easily access all other places in seoul by public buses & subway. Station is just within 2 minutes of walking. In addition I was able to see the whole picture of Kyongbok Palace and Gwanghwamoon. my impression of the hotel is "decent" interior and all other service. it seems better than other 5 star hotel in seoul. Shilla Stay Seodaemun
Seodaemun,Seoul - View on map
"Frequent traveller to Seoul. Staff was very friend and accommodating, as they've just opened about a year ago. One criticism is when I asked about nearby laundry/dry cleaners, as the rates at hotel are expensive and I can speak Korean. They said none were nearby, however there was one about 30m away, around the corner... come on. However, they allowed me to check-in VERY early ahead of the normal check-in time, and service was otherwise top end in my extensive experience staying at hotels in Korea. Room was very small, and odd that if you slide closed the bedroom separating door (never did) there was a window from the bedroom directly into the shower. However, the room/bathroom were all very modern and well kept. No complaints other than size, and as many other business hotels in Seoul there was free WiFi. Not much of a lobby meeting area which meant there was quite often large groups of people hanging around and a bit crowded. Transportation ok - Seodaemun Stn just out front but a bit of a walk my Seoul standards until you hit the train platform. Not bad but not great for grabbing taxis as you need to grab from the corner of the big intersection. Coffee shops nearby, convenience stores nearby, food selection close by is ok, and typical of north of the river areas."

Shilla Stay Mapo
Mapo,Seoul - View on map
"This hotel is located in an upscale business district in Seoul and is designed to cater to international travelers. This is not the place to stay if you’re interested in a Korean-feeling experience, look, but is the place to stay if you want convenience and centrality. Subway stops are really close by. The front desk staff is very professional and speak pretty good English. There’s a large comfortable lobby and a 7-Eleven next door, well-stocked with alcohol. The rooms are quite lovely—like other hotels I stayed in in Seoul, the entire room is automated and starts working once you insert your room key in the wall socket. This one was even more automated than others, with light sensors tracking what part of the room you were in. I had an incredible view of a valley of shorter buildings surrounded by skyscrapers. The bed was firm, like all the beds I experienced in Seoul, although this one was maybe a touch softer, which was nice. There was a TV. There were the standard slippers and robe"

Tmark Grand Hotel Myeongdong

"TMark Grand Hotel is the best hotel to stay in Seoul! Guaranteed! Lots of facilities, staffs were so helpful and friendly! Upon arrival I was so impressed how they upgraded our room to family room that it got more spacious! Breakfast was also nice. Location is excellent especially for shoppers as the hotel is just opposite the Namdaemun Market and 10-15mins walk to Myeongdong Shopping Center. Subway is just beside the hotel. It so convenient to travel. There is Plenty of nearby awesome restaurants as well so you won't get hungry. I love how Koreans are genuinely and naturally kind hearted people. I would definitely come back to this hotel in Seoul again next time! Thanks a lot TMark Grand Hotel! You deserve a fantastic review! Cheers! "
